Wet Prints

Silkscreen collage on wet paper, a proprietary process I call, “wet prints”

A loose and abstract approach to both screen printing and the theme of human identity. Diary entries, reflections of who we were, echoes of the past, of the process and journey that took you here. The way the ink saturates into the wet paper, thick rich velvet black, mirrors the enriching and solidification of self over time- something felt deeper than skin deep, saturating identity

Mirroring life, these collages are made in real time and have a life of their own, unexpected markings and interactions with the water and the other screens, even the layout is done in the moment fueled by intuition and can-not be reproduced.

When I look at the finished dried pieces in this body of work I see the movement of past - then a solidification of it into this one voice that says, “yes, this is me now”.
